According to J.D. Irving, their sawmill division will invest $30 million in the new Ashland facility. Biomass boilers, dry kilns and a planer mill will also be part of the investment.

50 new jobs will be created during the construction phase of the project. Once the mill is fully operational, that number will jump to 60 total jobs.

Construction on the new facility will start soon.
