The Houlton Lady Shires put their perfect record on the line Wednesday night as they traveled to Presque Isle to take on Jeff Hudson’s Lady Wildcats.  Houlton came into the contest with an 8-0 record and sitting in the #1 spot in Class C girls. The Lady Wildcats came in 7-2 and currently #7 in Class B girls.

Led by Kolleen Bouchard’s 29 the Shires remained perfect with at 63 to 54 victory.  Houlton pulled away in the 4th quarter after the game had been close through the first 3 quarters. Teegan Ewings stepped up with 16 points to contribute to the Shires win.

The Presque Isle Lady Wildcats dropped to 7-3 and were led by Emily Wheaton who put in 25 points. Chrissy Skidgel added 8 points, and Sydney Thompson had 7 points for Presque Isle.

The Houlton Lady Shires will host Mattanawcook Academy on Friday and the Lady Wildcats will host Foxcroft Academy for their next game on Saturday.

The Cushman and Son’s Player of the Game was Teegan Ewings.
