High School Basketball: Houlton Loses to Monmouth in State Finals

The Houlton Lady Shires lost to the Monmouth Mustangs in the Class C girls State Championship game in Augusta on Saturday night.

Monmouth used a 22 point first quarter to establish a lead they would never give up on their way to a 56-50 victory. Houlton charged late but came up short in their effort. The Lady Shires were led by Kolleen Bouchard’s game high 33 points.

The Cushman and Son’s player of the Game was Kolleen Bouchard.
