Christian Vazquez blasted 2 homers, a grand slam and a solo shot, driving in 5 runs, as the Red Sox beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-3 in Philadelphia, Sunday afternoon, September 15th.

Vazquez ended the afternoon 2-4, with the grand slam in the 3rd inning and the solo homer in the 6th.

Andrew Benintendi was 2-4 for Boston batting lead-off as Mookie Betts missed his 2nd consecutive game with a foot injury.

On the mound Rick Porcello went 5 innings for the win, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 6 and walked 1. Brandon Workman picked up his 14th save.

The Red Sox are off on Monday, opening a series at home against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday with Mike Yastrzemski, grandson of Hall-of-Famer Carl Yastrzemski coming to Fendway.
