The focus of this workshop will be to familiarize local organizations with free online services – specifically visitmaine.com (Maine Office of Tourism website and facebook – and walk them through the process.   Chamber Directors, Brian Bouley and Dona Saucier, will be presenting the course and providing hands-on, immediate support to participants who want to utilize these programs.

“There are a lot of free tools out there to help businesses and organizations advertise.  Facebook and VisitMaine.com are two specific effective tools that can help our local businesses reach a much wider audience outside of the St. John Valley,” stated Dona of the Greater Fort Kent Chamber.

“The problem is, a lot of people don’t know about them, or don’t know how to use them.  We hope that this workshop will help,” added Brian of the Greater Madawaska Chamber.

This course will be offered twice on Thursday, February 11, 2016:   8am-10am at the UMFK Grindle Conference Room, and 6pm-8pm in the Madawaska Community & Adult Education Classroom.  The cost for any Valley chamber member representative is free and $5 for any non-chamber member.  Due to limited seating capacity, there is a limit of two people from the same business/organization.  Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their laptop/tablet if they want to utilize these online tools at the workshop.
