SAD1 Welcomes Nicole Ward For Nordic Ski Coach At Presque Isle High School

The boys and girls at Presque Isle High School will be seeing a new face this November with the hiring of a new Head Boys and Girls Nordic Ski Coach.

Mark White, SAD#1 Athletics Administrator, announced that Caribou native and a graduate of Caribou High School, Nicole Ward, will fill the position effective Nov. 28 of this year.

Ward is a lifelong Nordic skier, competing for Caribou Middle School and Caribou High School. She also trained with Maine Winter Sports Center, known now as Outdoor Sport Institute, as well.

She is a graduate of the University of Maine Presque Isle, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. She's currently a residential counselor for the Aroostook Mental Health Center.

Ward and her husband live in Presque Isle along with their two pets.
