Weird Al Yankovic, has had an incredible career of turning pop hits into a giant, hilarious inside joke—and somehow, he’s only gotten better at it. He started out as this accordion-playing college kid sending goofy songs to The Dr. Demento Show, and before long he was blowing up with classics like “Eat It,” “Like a Surgeon,” and “Amish Paradise.”
He makes parodies that are not only funny, but so spot on, half the time his versions are just as iconic as the originals. And the music videos? Pure gold.
His 2014 album "Mandatory Fun" even hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts, proving that after decades in the game, he’s still got it.
Weird Al Yankovic has won five Grammy Awards and has been nominated 17 times.
He has parodied tons of huge artists across multiple decades. Here are some of the most well-known ones:
Michael Jackson – “Eat It,” “Fat”
Madonna – “Like a Surgeon”
Nirvana – “Smells Like Nirvana”
Coolio – “Amish Paradise”
Chamillionaire – “White & Nerdy”
Queen – “Another One Rides the Bus”
Lady Gaga – “Perform This Way”
