A 43-year-old woman was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with OUI after a man was hit by her vehicle and seriously injured in Auburn.

Alicia Weber from Auburn was taken into custody around 1:35 am at the site of the crash on Turner Street.  

Charged with OUI after Man Hit with Vehicle

She was charged with Operating Under the Influence Causing Injury.

The Auburn Police Department said the victim was lying on the road when officers responded to the scene.

Crash Happened Near the Entrance of the Community College

The crash happened near the entrance to Central Maine Community College.

Man Taken to Two Hospitals with Serious Injuries

He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with serious injuries and later transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Taken to County Jail with Cash Bail Set at $5,000

Weber was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail and booked. Her cash bail was set at $5,000.

Turner Street was temporarily closed. The crash remains under investigation.
