Man Charged with Felony Robbery & Aggravated Assault in Maine

A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with felony robbery and aggravated assault in Rockland.

Felony Robbery and Aggravated Assault Charges

Joshua Crawford from Waterville was taken into custody Saturday and was charged with Felony Robbery and Aggravated Assault.

Seriously Assaulted and Robbed Man

The charges stem from an “investigation into a serious assault and theft of a wallet that occurred in Rockland earlier this month between Crawford and a male who had recently befriended him,” according to the Rockland Police Department.

Man was Wanted for Additional Thefts

Crawford also had warrants for his involvement in the theft of an electric Scooter and other robbery charges.

Suspect Arrested and Taken to County Holding

He was arrested by the Waterville Police Department and transported by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to the Knox County Holding Facility.

Assisting in the investigation was the Rockland Police Department, the Waterville Police Department, the Knox County Sheriff's Office and the Maine State Police.
