Multiple Gunshots Fired at Vehicles and Buildings in Maine

Multiple gunshots were fired early Saturday morning in downtown Lewiston.

Patrol Officers Heard the Gunfire and Responded to the Scene

Officers on patrol with the Lewiston Police Department heard the shots around 2:20 am and responded to the Oak Street Area.

Several Calls to 911 Reporting the Shooting

There were also several calls to 911 reporting gunshots.

Three Vehicles had Bullet Holes from Shots Fired

Police canvassed the area and found three unoccupied vehicles had been hit by bullets.

Two Buildings Hit by Gunfire and Damaged

There were two buildings also hit by gunfire and had been damaged at 75 Oak Street and 62 Oak Street.

More Than a Dozen Shell Casings Found in the Street

Officers recovered more than 12 shell casings in the roadway.

Active and Ongoing Investigation

No injuries were reported. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
