32-Year-Old Motorcyclist Died after Crash with Vehicle in Maine

A 32-year-old man on a motorcycle died Friday evening after a crash with a vehicle in Hancock.

Fatal Motorcycle and Car Crash

Tyeler Grey from Franklin and the car collided as the vehicle was making a left hand turn on Route 182.

Man on Motorcycle Pronounced Dead at the Scene

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said Grey died at the scene from his injuries.

Driver and Two Passengers in the Car

Three people in the Hyundai Sonata were not injured including the 28-year-old driver, Harold Moore from Mariaville.

Motorcycle and Car Collided as Vehicle Made a Left Turn

The investigation showed that Grey was riding a Buell motorcycle north on Route 128 (Franklin Road) around 3:44 pm. Moore was going west on Coffee Road when he started turning left onto Route 128, according to the Hancock Sheriff's Office.

Lead Crash Investigators

Lead investigators in the case were Detective Rick Canarr with assistance from Lieutenant Dakota Dupuis, Sergeant Kyle Kramer and Deputy Austin McDonald. Sergeant Marcus Downes did the reconstruction of the crash.

Sheriff’s Office and Mutual Assistance

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Maine State Police, Maine Forest Service, Maine Marine Patrol.

Multiple Emergency Services Responded to the Crash

Also responding to the crash was the Hancock Fire Department, the Franklin Fire Department, the Eastbrook Fire Department, the Sullivan Fire Department, the Sorrento Fire Department and Northern Light Ambulance Service.
