Possible Drug Lab Found in Edmundston Apartment Building

Edmundston Police are investigating a possible clandestine drug lab in an apartment building in the city, after equipment and other items associated with drug production were discovered on Wednesday.

The clandestine lab dismantling team responded to the scene to assist the Edmundston Police Force. However, during this process it was decided to call on the Fredericton Police Force bomb disposal team to safely remove the items.

Edmundston Police say charges may be filed against individuals connected to the seizure. The owner of the apartment building is not considered a suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
