Two men escaped serious injuries Tuesday morning after a car pulled in the path of a pickup truck on the New Sweden Road in Stockholm.

Maine State Police say 60-year-old Bryan Forbes of Stockholm was stopped at the intersection of the Cove Road and Route 161 shortly before 9:30 a.m. At the same time, 44-year-old Michael Daigle of New Canada was driving his 2010 Chevrolet pickup south on Route 161.

Forbes could not see Daigle’s truck due to the high snow banks and pulled his 2003 Buick sedan out in front of Daigle, according to a news release from Corporal Dennis Quint. The vehicles crashed causing extensive damage to both.
