Mapleton Girl Scout, Maddie Buzza (holding scissors) recently celebrated the completion of her Girl Scout Silver Award project with a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of one of her three Little Free Libraries that she built and stocked with books.  The libraries are located in Mapleton in front of the Post Office and outside the Mapleton-Chapman-Castle Hill Town Office and Mapleton Lions' Hall.

Maddie was joined by her parents and sister troop members Bethany Baker, Alexis Getchell and Amanda Winslow.

The Silver Award is the highest award a Cadette Girl Scout can earn and requires logging a minimum of 50 hours of time researching, planning and implementing the project.
