The Codiac Regional RCMP is investigating vandalism to two memorials located in Victoria Park in Moncton.

Police received a complaint on Sunday evening, January 29, 2017, that red paint had been sprayed onto the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) memorial honouring Moncton fire fighters who died serving the people of Moncton. Red paint was also sprayed on the Moncton Police Force memorial honouring officers killed in the line of duty. Both are located near Park Street.

The Codiac Regional RCMP is trying to determine when the vandalism occurred. Police are asking that anyone who may have seen someone loitering around the monuments during the day or evening on Sunday to contact Codiac RCMP at 506-857-2400.
