
Ellsworth Softball Sweeps Caribou 6-5 and 12-2
The Ellsworth High School Softball Team swept Caribou 6-5 and 12-2 on Monday afternoon, May 18th at Ellsworth High School.
Cam Clough pitched a complete game for the Eagles allowing 6 hits and 5 runs, none of which were earned. She struck out 10 and didn't walk a batter.
Cam Clough helped herself at the plate going 2-3 with a triple and run batted in. Jenna Moon was 3-4 with a double and 2 runs batted in. Kaylee Bagley was 2-4 with a double. Beka Trundy was 1-4. Jovi Nightingale was 1-4 and Geenlea Harmon was 1-4
Caribou committed 8 errors in the game and the Eagles committed 6 errors.
Olivia Beaulieu allowed 10 hits and 6 runs, 3 of which were earned for Caribou. She struck out 4 and walked 2.
Shayna Pelletier, Beaulieu, Evelyn Roy, Lilly McCrossin, Mackenzie Cole and Peyton West each singled for the Vikings.
In Game 2 Cam Clough pitched 5 innings for Ellsworth. She struck out 5 and walked 1, allowing 2 runs, 1 of which was earned.
Clough was 1-2 with a triple, driving in 2 runs. Kaylee Bagley and Abby Doyle each had a single and drove in 2 runs. Bekah Trundy was 2-2 with a run batted in. Jenna Moon was 2-4 with a run batted in. Greenlea Harmon and Colby Hardison each were 1-1 with a run batted in.
For the Vikings, Beaulieu started for the Vikings and pitched was 1.1 inning and allowed 8 hits and 9 runs, 6 of which were earned. She struck out and walked 1. Evelyn Roy pitched the final 2.2 innings allowing 1 hits and 3 runs, striking out 4 and walking 5.
Olivia Beaulieu, Lilly Bell each had a single and Peyton West had 2 singles.
Ellsworth is now 7-3. They will play at John Bapst on Thursday, May 21st at 4:30 p.m.
Caribou is 1-8. The Vikings will play at Fort Kent on Tuesday, May 26th at 4:30 p.m.
