The Maine Diner is a restaurant on Route 1 in Wells that serves seafood and traditional comfort food and has operated under its current name since 1983, with roots dating to the early 1960s.
Its menu describes its signature lobster pie as fresh lobster meat topped with the diner’s own crumb mixture and baked in a casserole dish.
Maine Diner’s shipping program lists lobster pie, chowders and other dishes for overnight UPS delivery, with orders arranged by emailing jim@mainediner.com and costs including a $14 handling fee plus shipping.
However, its homepage currently says the program is suspended until fall, so customers should contact the diner to confirm availability.

And there you have it! The famous lobster pie is part of the diner’s shipping program, but availability should be confirmed before placing an order.
