Human remains found in Blaine on October 30 have been positively identified by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Human Remains Identified as 36-Year-Old Woman

Officials said the remains are 36-year-old Tomis Hoyt who was missing since July 13, 2025.

Woman was Last Seen Barefoot in Mars Hill

Hoyt was last seen in Mars Hill on Robinson Road and was believed to be barefoot, according to WGME News

Resident Found Human Remains and Contacted Police

The Maine State Police said a local resident found the human remains and contacted authorities.

Detectives and Evidence Response Team Investigating the Case

The scene was processed by Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit–North and members of the Evidence Response Team.

Ongoing Investigation into Disappearance and Death

Police did not release any additional information. The investigation into her disappearance and death continues and is ongoing.
