Riverside Park in Presque Isle will be hopping with activity this 4th of July.

Once again, the Presque Isle Elks Lodge will be hosting its annual Independence Day Community Celebration Thursday, July 4, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Presque Isle Elks Exalted Ruler Alan Harding says the Elks will be grilling and serving up hot dogs, free of charge to the public, starting at 11:00 a.m.  Besides the hot dogs,   there will also be chips, popcorn, drinks, watermelon and shaved ice, all free of charge.

There will also be free games and contests for the kids, as well as a bounce house and an opportunity for everyone to relax in the park and  maybe catch up with seldom seen neighbors and friends.

Music will be on the agenda with live country, pop, and rock acts.

The new splash pad will be in operation as well, at the south end of Riverside. Music is also on the agenda with a variety of live country, pop, and rock acts.

The Elks will also be putting on its annual July 4th car show with entries from car enthusiasts throughout Aroostook County and western New Brunswick right on Riverside Drive, which will be closed to traffic for this event. Trophies will be handed out for the top vehicle in each class, as well as a People’s Choice award and the Best in the Show.

There's something for everyone this 4th of July at Riverside Park in Presque Isle.
