A Maine man is offering a $1,000 reward for information after his dog was shot and killed in Turner.

Dog Ate Trash from Yard and Owner Found Wound

Kevin Nichols said his dog Zeke was taken to a veterinary hospital after eating trash thrown into their yard.

Dog Became Sick and Acted Strange

Zeke began vomiting and behaving strangely, according to Nichols.

Dog had a Puncture Wound

Nichols found a puncture wound in the dog’s hip.

Pellet Gun Wound Found in Dog’s Hip

Vets at the animal hospital determined Zeke was shot with a pellet gun.

Dog Died after Brief Examination at Vets

Zeke died shortly after the examination, according to WGME News.

Nichols is looking for information about the person or persons who shot his dog.
