AI is out of control. If artificial intelligence actually worked, you wouldn't see AI-generated images of people with two thumbs on one hand or a hand with only three fingers. Now people are getting super lazy and having AI generate images for them, which are also completely wrong. Here's a good example.

This famous diner in Waldoboro is well known by most people in Maine and New England. Mainers love Moody's, and they know what it looks like. However, when someone wants to bring attention to Moody's, they turn to AI rather than finding a photo of Moody's like I did above, using Google Maps.

This looks NOTHING like Moody's Diner! If you zoom in on the photo, all the paper in the windows has what looks like writing, but it's all just gobbledygook. Want another one? Check this out.

Nervous Nellie's Jams and Jellies

This is a perfectly Maine roadside attraction on Sunshine Road on Deer Isle that sells jams, jellies, and other assorted handmade items. It's cleverly named Nervous Nellie's Jams and Jellies. That's their sign alongside the road.

Now, here's what AI created because someone was lazy.

So here's the thing. We all love reading about things here in our home state and love even more that these things can be shared with the world through social media. However, if you want to share photos of the place or thing you want to show from Maine, at least go to the trouble of getting a REAL photo rather than have AI spit out random things and call it a yard sale.
