The Aroostook County Action Program will be hosting an open house at their new Hope and Prosperity Resource Center on Thursday, September 26.

This open house will give the public a chance to see the new space located at the ACAP main office, 771 Main Street in Presque Isle. The community will also be able meet staff offering services and learn more about the opportunities available to clients. Representatives of the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce will be in attendance at 3 pm for a ribbon cutting.

The Resource Center brings into one central location same day access to all of the programs offered by ACAP which include, housing, workforce development, coaching, preventative health, as well as programs offered by partner agencies of ACAP.


The Hope and Prosperity Resource Center officially opens its doors on Monday, September 30. Customers will have access to computers for conducting job searches and other resources online, meeting rooms for individuals and families to work with ACAP coaches, employment counselors, program staff and professionals from other agencies.

The public and organizations are encouraged to attend the open house to learn more about the program and the services that will be offered to the community.
