
One Woman Died and Two Women Injured after Crash in Maine
An 89-year-old woman died and two people were injured after a crash in Warren on Sunday afternoon.
One Woman Died and One Seriously Injured
Loa Blake from Saint George was the passenger and pronounced dead following the collision. Her daughter, 70-year-old Deborah Green, was driving and was seriously injured. She was transported to the hospital.
Driver in Other Vehicle Injured
The driver in the other vehicle, 21-year-old Vanessa Luce from Union, sustained minor injuries.
Afternoon Crash in Intersection
The crash happened around 3 pm at the intersection of Old Augusta Road and Ridge Road.
Two-Vehicle Collision at Intersection and Crash into Trees
Police said Green stopped at the stop sign before proceeding into the intersection where she was hit by Luce. Green’s vehicle spun out and struck several trees, according to Pen Bay Pilot News.
Firefighters Extricated Injured from Vehicle
Firefighters had to use chainsaws, cutters, splitters and spreaders to extricate the injured from the crash.
Landing Zone for LifeFlight
A landing zone for LifeFlight was set up at the Medomak Valley High School.
First Responders on the Scene of the Crash
First responders on the scene included the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the Maine State Police, the Waldoboro Police Department, Waldenboro Fire, Warren Fire and EMS crews.
