Perkins was taken into custody Thursday around 12:40 pm at 715 River Road.

The cause of death was a gunshot wound and was ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.
Victim Found Dead Inside Residence
Hamilton was found deceased inside the River Road residence on Friday, October 3.
Man and Woman Had Been in a Relationship
“Perkins and Hamilton had been in a relationship together,” according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
Women Taken to Jail and Held Without Bail
Perkins was transported to the Cumberland County Jail and was being held without bail.
Major Crimes Unit Detectives Investigating the Case
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are the chief investigators in the case.
