Prices at the Pump Continue to Fall in New England
Good news for motorists. Gas prices around New England still continue their downward trend.
According to the latest survey by GasBuddy.com, gas prices here in Maine fell 2 cents this past week to an average $2.21 a gallon. Pump prices in Presque Isle were at $2.39 a gallon at most stations as of Tuesday morning.
Next door in New Hampshire, gasoline dropped 3.5 cents from last week's price to an average $2.24 a gallon. Vermont showed the biggest decrease with a drop of 4.1 cents to $2.36
Meanwhile, the national average was 34.6 cents cheaper than a year ago, but nosed up a little, 1.1 cents, from one month ago.
