
Prices at the Pump Around New England Holding Steady
Northern New England gas prices have remained relatively stable from last week's prices.
GasBuddy.com reports here in Maine, gas prices rose slightly, averaging $2.52 a gallon. That's just a penny higher than last week. In Presque Isle, most stations were showing $2.61 a gallon on Monday morning. That's unchanged from last week's prices at the pump.
New Hampshire's average price also remained unchanged from last week at $2.44 a gallon. In Vermont, the average price of gas declined slightly, less than a penny to $2.60 a gallon.
The price of gas nationally also fell slightly in the past week to an average of $2.63 a gallon. That's a drop of 2.7 cents a gallon from last month, but remains 19.8 cents a gallon lower than it was a year ago at this time.
