Presque Isle Community Players Holds Auditions for Fall Show
The Presque Isle Community Players will hold auditions for their 2018 production of “Imagine”, a musical review of songs from the 60’s and 70s’ to include songs from the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver and Brotherhood of Man, to name a few.
Auditions will be held at Grant Memorial United Methodist Church in Presque Isle on Sunday July 22nd and Wednesday July 25th at 6:30 p.m. The Musical Director is Claudia Stevens and John Kiehn will be the Stage Director.
Adults of all ages are encouraged to audition. For your audition, you may be asked to sing a solo, so either bring sheet music of your choosing or be prepared to sing a piece that the directors provide for you.
Rehearsals for the production will be at the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church on Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Performances will be October 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th in the Auditorium at Wieden Hall at the University of Maine at Presque Isle with shows beginning each evening at 7:00 p.m.
Presque Isle Community Players consists of musicians, actors, actresses, and singers from the surrounding communities around Presque Isle. The group is over 30 years old with some of its founding members still active in the group. Their goal is to keep the arts alive and well in Presque Isle and the surrounding area. We have an ongoing partnership with The University of Maine at Presque Isle to help with the renovation needs for the Auditorium at Wieden.
