EMTs Use UTV to Locate Accident in the Woods

Two first responders with the Otisfield Fire Department arrived on the scene with a UTV and traveled into the woods with a PACE medic.

Victim Located in the Woods and First Aid Given

Rescue crews located the victim and provided medical attention and treatment.

Injured Rider was Walking Around Until Help Arrived

"The patient was up walking around and waiting for our response,” according to the Otisfield FD.

Victim was Wearing a Helmet

The injured rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Victim Taken to Ambulance on UTV

Emergency medical technicians got the injured person on the UTV and transported them to a waiting ambulance.

EMT and Others Remained in the Area Until UTV Could Pick Them Up

To make room for the victim on the UTV, one EMT stayed in the area until the all-terrain vehicle could return and pick them up.

Riders Stayed with EMT While Victim was Transported Out of the Woods

Other riders in the party also stayed in the woods with the EMT until they could all be taken safely out of the area.
