Several Large Solar Panels Were Stolen in Parkman, Maine

The Piscataquis County Sheriff's Office says several large solar panels were stolen from Parkman over the weekend.

Parkman, Maine Solar Panels Were Stolen From a Solar Field Over the Weekend

Officials say the theft occurred between Friday, August 15, at 4 p.m., and Tuesday, August 19, at 8 a.m.

A large number of solar panels were taken from the solar field site in Parkman, near 619 State Highway 150. The stolen panels were in three large stacks on pallets.

Parkman, Maine Solar Panels Theft Would Have Required a Large Trailer

Officials say these solar panels are approximately 4 feet wide and 6 feet long and would have been very heavy to move. Moving them from the location would have required a large trailer.

It's possible someone may have seen the loaded trailer and not thought it suspicious at the time due to the construction.

People who were in Parkman over the weekend are encouraged to consider whether they may have seen a trailer hauling large solar panels during that period and tell the police if they did.
