New England Gas Prices Continue Their Downward Trend
Good news for motorists as gas prices around New England continue to fall.
The latest report from GasBuddy.com shows that prices at the pump here in Maine fell a couple of pennies from last week to an average $2.52. Most stations in Presque Isle Monday morning were showing a price of $2.66 a gallon.
Elsewhere around New England, New Hampshire gas prices declined 2.2 cents from last week to $2.45 a gallon. In Vermont, gas prices there dropped 1.4 cents to an average $2.62 a gallon.
Nationally, gas prices checked in at an average of $2.65 a gallon. That's a rise of 9.6 cents a gallon over last month, but 25.3 cents a gallon cheaper that one year ago.
