Man and Woman Charged in Riverside Grocery Robbery
A 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman from St. Stephen, N.B., have been charged in connection with a robbery at Riverside Grocery in St. Stephen that occurred on the evening of January 23.
The incident occurred when a man and woman armed with knives entered the store, approached the clerk and demanded money.
Two suspects were arrested on Monday, following a police investigation.
Both were held in custody and appeared in Saint John provincial court on Tuesday.. Thomas Joseph Moore and Jasmine Dee Marie Clifford were charged with robbery and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence. They have both been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court again on February 2 at 11:00 a.m.
