Maine Man Arrested for Murder after Manhunt in New Brunswick
A 47-year-old wanted man from Maine was arrested for second-degree murder in New Brunswick, Canada.
Manhunt for Maine Man Charged with Murder
Keith Maurice Martin from Maine was the focus of a manhunt and emergency alert in northeast New Brunswick, said CBC News.
One Man Dead at the Scene
Martin is charged with killing 48-year-old Mark Mitchell of Esgenoôpetitj First Nation on Sept. 5.
One Man Injured at the Scene
One person was also injured at the scene of the shooting, said the RCMP.
One Man Found Dead and One Man Injured
Police found Mitchell dead at the scene around 1:45 pm and another man with serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital.
Suspect Taken into Custody 24 Hours after Alert
Martin was apprehended within 24 hours of the emergency alert. The investigation is ongoing.
