Join the Benefit in the Name of a Lost Friend!
If you ever asked him how he was doing, he always replied, “Livin’ the Dream!” Around here, November 8th, 2012 will be a day we won’t soon forget. It was the day we lost our friend, ‘Nameless the Intern.’ Matt Turnbull was a lot of things to a lot of people and his friends and family have decided to celebrate his life on Saturday, March 16th, 2013.
The Turnbull family has created a special fund that will aid the programs that Matt loved most. “Matthew Turnbull’s Livin’ the Dream Scholarship Benefit” will be held at the Caribou Inn & Convention Center on March 16th with a silent auction and social at 7pm and a dance with Matt’s band Common Crossing from 8 to midnight. Because it’s the day before St.Paddy’s day there will be a significant Irish twist. The band has dubbed it “St.Matty’s Day.”
The scholarship will be awarded annually to a Caribou High School graduate pursuing a trade at Northern Maine Community College as well as a second year NMCC student pursuing an education in the trades. It is sure to be a fun and memorable night that is for a great cause.
