Gas Prices Still Falling in New England
Prices at the pumps around New England continue to decline.
According to GasBuddy.com, prices here in Maine fell 2.6 cents a gallon to an average of $2.75 a gallon. In Presque Isle Monday morning, most stations checked in at $2.89 a gallon, which is where they were two weeks ago.
New Hampshire saw a drop of 2.9 cents a gallon in the last week to $2.68 a gallon on average. Pump prices in Vermont fell almost a penny to an average of $2.75 a gallon.
Meanwhile, the national average dropped off by 1.6 cents in the past week to an average $2.81 a gallon. That's a decrease of 8.9 cents from a month ago and is 13.8 cents a gallon cheaper than a year ago.
