The price of gasoline around New England has seen a pretty good drop in the past week.

 

According to the latest survey by GasBuddy.com, prices at the pumps in Maine fell 6 cents a gallon over the last week to an average $2.68 a gallon. In Presque Isle Monday, most stations were selling unleaded for $2.82 a gallon.

Next door in New Hampshire, the average price was $2.61, a drop of 6.2 cents a gallon over the past week. Vermont's prices fell 5.6 cents, to an average $2.70 a gallon.

Meanwhile, the national average dropped 7.1 cents from last week to $2.73 a gallon. That's down 12.9 cents a gallon from last month and is 17.8 cents a gallon cheaper than it was at this time last year.
