
Gas Prices Down Some Across New England
With the Memorial Day holiday weekend less than three weeks away, gas prices are on the decline.
Typically, gas prices around the Memorial Day holiday show a rise. According to GasBuddy.com, prices at the pumps in Maine fell 3.7 cents from a week ago to $2.34 a gallon. Prices in Presque Isle, as of Tuesday, had fallen to $2.41 a gallon for regular unleaded.
New Hampshire gas prices were down 1.9 cents at $2.30 a gallon while Vermont's average price at the pump was $2.40 a gallon, down 2.7 cents from the previous week.
The national average was down 3.7 cents at $2.34 per gallon, 5.6 cents per gallon less than last month, but 12.5 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
