Gas prices across New England are lower than they were a year ago, but they're still  continuing their upward climb.

According to GasBuddy.com, prices at the pump in Maine went up seven cents in the last week to an average $2.73 a gallon. In Presque Isle, prices at most stations as of Monday were at $2.87 a gallon.

Prices in neighboring New Hampshire jumped nearly eight cents over the last week to an average $2.66, while Vermont showed an increase of five cents a gallon to an average $2.74 a gallon.
