Prices at the pumps in New England are seeing an upward trend.

GasBuddy,com's latest survey shows Maine gas prices rose 1.3 cents a gallon in the last week to an average $2.36. Most stations in Presque Isle were selling gas at $2.51 a gallon. That's a 9 cent a gallon jump from two weeks ago.

Next door in New Hampshire, gas inched up less than a penny to an average $2.31 a gallon. Vermont saw the biggest jump in the last week, averaging $2.41 a gallon, up 3.4 cents a gallon.

The national average is up 15.6 cents per gallon from a month ago, but is 9.1 cents a gallon lower than a year ago.
