Fire Destroys Home, Wallagrass, Maine

A fire Tuesday afternoon destroyed a home near Soldier Pond in Wallagrass. 

The Fort Kent Fire Department was called to the blaze on Bouchard Street around 1 p.m. Crews from North Lake Fire and Rescue, Eagle Lake, and Frenchville provided mutual assistance. 

The homeowner was away at the time and a neighbor reported the blaze. There were no injuries.

Because of the extent of the damage, investigators said the cause of the fire has not been determined.
