Citizen of the Year Being Sought
The Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its 2018 Citizen Of The Year award.
The subcommittee is asking the public to submit nominees who have been most significant in contributing to the growth and development of the towns that are serviced by the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce. Other criteria include a person who, is at least 45 years of age, has made an important impact on the lives of the area people, has demonstrated continuous service in a variety of service levels and has not received any personal monetary gain from their efforts.
Nomination applications are available at the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber Of Commerce office, 291 West Main Street, Fort Kent, Maine or for download at www.fortkentchamber.com. Requests may also be made to the Chamber by mail at PO Box 430, Fort Kent, Maine 04743 or E-mail at info@fortkentchamber.com. All nominations must be returned to the Chamber office or postmarked no later than Friday, December 7th, 2018.
A committee, made up of past recipients of the award, will select the person they feel best fits the criteria. The Citizen Of The Year award is presented at the Annual Chamber Banquet, the date for which will be announced at a later time.
