Big Rock Transportation in Mars Hill has been doing big things as of late, and last week was no exception. They celebrated driver appreciation week all week long by doing special events each day.

The week's events included a pie in the face contest, having their heads shaved, a bail out bunk, barbecues and more with all funds raised going to Trucker Charity! The mission of Trucker Charity, is to assist those in the trucking industry in need. They do this financially, and with education. Their life coach and mentoring programs will work with those that need help one on one. They will raise money to help support people in the trucking industry who are in need and luck has passed them by. They will assist in making sure people are fed and safe in emergency housing. Including mechanics, truckers and their families and all jobs related to the trucking industry.

We had the pleasure of being there to check out the action for ourselves on Friday afternoon. Here are of the pictures we captured.
