The goal of the United Vets Motorcycle Club is to honor those who have served our country, both past and present, as well as to put a smile on the faces of children in our area. The UMVC is involved with several charitable organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and also hold their very own Teddy Bear Run each and every year and deliver teddy bears to hospitals across Aroostook County to sick children.

The 2015 ride will take place on Sunday, May 17th. It will be leaving from Houlton's Big Stop Restaurant promptly at 10 a.m. The ride will proceed north and will be meeting at the Caribou Inn & Convention Center. The ride will leave there at 12 Noon and head to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, then the Sister Mary O’Donnell Homeless Shelter in Presque Isle. From there, the ride will head to Houlton Regional Hospital. A load of teddy bears will be taken to Fort Kent at a later date during a club ride.

This ride is an open ride, everyone is welcome.

Anyone interested in donating a New Teddy Bear can contact Rick Miller with the United Vets Motorcycle Club at 538-6105.
