A second weekend has been added to the Presque Isle Historical Society’s Victorian Christmas.

The Victorian Christmas at the Vera Estey House Museum, now in its second year, transforms the 1875 house into a magical Victorian Christmas showcase.

Kim Smith, the event creator, explains that "each room in the museum has hand-made Victorian inspired decorations and live florals, as well as costumed interpreters in each room performing various tasks from the period. People on the tour can also sample a hot apple cider punch called "wassail."

Victorian Christmas at the Estey House Museum will be held on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15 from 6 to 9 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased at the door with on-street parking (or around the corner in the public lot across from City Hall).   The Estey House is located at 16 Third Street in Presque Isle.

And this year, a second event has been added on Saturday, December 8, which will be held at the Aroostook Centre Mall at 1:00 p.m and will include a brief presentation on which traditions from that era we still observe today. Tickets for this event can be purchased at the mall office.
