UPDATE: State Police say the two men found dead inside a pickup truck early Tuesday morning in Castle Hill were shot.

Autopsies were completed this afternoon on the bodies of Roger Ellis and Allen Curtis at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta.  No additional information on the autopsies are being released at this time.

State Police continue to investigate the deaths of two Castle Hill men in their hometown late Monday night.

Police said, the two men’s bodies were found in the pickup, and the ATV was left abandoned at the scene.

Autopsies are underway at the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the results will likely be released Wednesday afternoon. Work also continues in Augusta at the State Police Crime Lab on the pickup truck and the ATV, which were transported from the homicide scene Tuesday.

State Police have increased patrols in the Mapleton-Castle Hill area, as a team of detectives and evidence technicians continue to gather evidence and conduct interviews.

Area residents are urged to continue to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity or information that may be related to the case. The State Police barracks in Houlton is 532-5400.
