A series of suspicious fires on the Tobique First Nation in New Brunswick is being investigated by the RCMP.

Tobique RCMP and the Tobique Fire Department were called out to a structure fire on Sunday, May 5, just before 6:00 am on the Elders Close Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, investigators found two newly constructed homes on fire, along with a couch on a nearby lawn. One of the dwellings was destroyed while the other sustained severe damage. Nobody was injured.
