Support Abuse Victims in Maine Through This 5K/10K
In the past, this charity run was known as 'Commit to Get It.' This will be the first year it will be referred as 'Commit to Community, Supporting Victims of Violence and Abuse.' New name. Same great cause.
Maine's St. Joseph Hospital's Commit to Community 5K and 10K
St. Joseph Hospital works with several local sponsors to put on this great event that includes the Kids Obstacle Course, 5K Walk, 5K Run, and 10K Run. All walks and runs will occur on Sunday, September 29th beginning at 7:30am.
All money raised will fund the St. Joseph Hospital's Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) program in Bangor. Every participant, every donor, and every sponsor will be helping people in eastern Maine who require help from the hospital's SAFE nurses.
To register, click here. It is currently $30 to run or walk the 'St. Joe's Commit to Community' 5K and $40 for the 10K. It is $10 for the 'St. Joe's Commit to Community' Kids Obstacle Course. All prices will increase after September 27th.
Can't attend the walk/run? You can donate here at any time.
Win Prizes While Raising Money for Maine Abuse Victims
All proceeds from the St. Joseph Healthcare Commit to Community will support and help to expand our Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) program, which ensures victims of sexual assault get the care they need. And helps to educate community members to help prevent sexual assault. This program depends significantly upon gifts to provide support to sexual assault survivors.
