Ronald McDonald Wanted for Robbery – Hamburglar Presumed Innocent

We would have suspected the Hamburglar.

Canadian authorities say they are currently tracking down a real clown that is responsible for nearly a dozen break-ins in the Ottawa area.

Interestingly, the culprit wanted for questioning in these incidents is 46-year-old Ronald McDonald. Police say that McDonald is not a kind-hearted purveyor of a popular fast food chain, but a career criminal with several outstanding warrants.

Authorities say that McDonald allegedly broke into homes in the area of Arlington Ave. and Cambridge St. during the daytime hours, when residents were at work. And no, he didn’t leave any coupons for complimentary Big Macs.

McDonald is a white man who stands approximately 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has a thin build and short brown hair. Strange – the last time we checked Ronald McDonald had red hair. We’ll update our records.

Ottawa police are adamant that the Ronald McDonald they are after is not the infamous spokesclown for McDonald’s restaurants.
