
Price of Gas Continues to Drop in New England
Another week of declining gas prices around New England.
According to GasBuddy.com's latest survey, prices at the pumps here in the Pine Tree State have dropped 6.7 cents a gallon in the past week to an average $2.65 a gallon. In Presque Isle, Tuesday morning, prices at most stations were 2.83 a gallon. One outlet was charging $2.82 a gallon, while another showed a price of $2.76 a gallon.
Meanwhile, in New Hampshire, gas prices fell this past week 4.2 cents to an average $2.65 a gallon. And in Vermont, the average price per gallon was $2.80, a drop of 3 cents over last week.
Nationally, gas prices have fallen 5.9 cents in the last week to $2.67 a gallon. That's a 22.1 cent decrease in the last month, but that's still 12.2 cents a gallon above the price last year at this time.
