In a well-paced game Wednesday night, the Wildcats defeated the Shiretowners, 67 to 62, in boys high school basketball.



Tempo was the key to an evenly matched 1st and 2nd quarter with Presque Isle pulling ahead 40 to 36 at the half. The Wildcats outscored Houlton in the 3rd quarter with strong rebounding - putting up 23 points to 12. The Shiretowners came back strong in the the 4th, with the final score, Presque Isle, 67, Houlton, 62.

Bradley Kinney lead the way for The Cats and was named the Player of the Game with 20 points and a host of rebounds. Griffin Guerrette had 17 & Jake Kinney added 10.

For Houlton, Cameron Graham scored 22 with help from Keegan Gentle, 16, and Jacob Worthly contributing 8.
