
Two Women Arrested and Charged after Police Chase in Maine
A 37-year-old woman and a 31-year-old woman were arrested and charged after a high speed chase from Houlton into Canada.
Two Women in Custody after Police Pursuit in Maine and Arrest in Canada
Rachael Kennedy from Kansas and Rashidah Henry from Georgia were taken into custody by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and transferred to the Houlton Police Department on Friday.
Women Fled from Police in Houlton
Kennedy fled from police in a vehicle driven by Henry after allegedly trying to use a fake passport at Katahdin Trust Bank in Houlton.
Police Chase from Maine to Canada
The high speed chase went north on I-95 in Houlton and across the border. The Houlton Police Department ended the pursuit and the RCMP took over.
RCMP Located Vehicle and Arrested Suspects
The vehicle was located by the RCMP and the two women were apprehended. They were transported to Houlton and taken to the Aroostook County Jail. Bail was set at $7,000 for Kennedy and $5,000 for Henry.
Women have Active Warrants for Arrest in Home States
Police said the women both have active warrants from their home states. The investigation is active and ongoing.
